October 22, 2024- Ariana Grande has issued an apology to actress Cassandra Peterson, known for her iconic role as Elvira, after the actress claimed Grande ignored her during a meet-and-greet.

According to Peterson, Grande had requested tickets for one of her shows for herself and her family but allegedly left without taking a photo with her or staying for the performance.
Peterson shared the story during a panel, saying she had signed autographs for Grande’s friends and relatives but was surprised when the singer didn’t reciprocate.

In response, Grande addressed the comments via Instagram, expressing that she was “disheartened” to hear the claims.
She explained that she left early due to an anxiety attack and didn’t recall meeting Peterson.
Grande shared that the event took place shortly after the Manchester concert attack, a time when she struggled with large crowds and public spaces.
“If I’m misremembering this moment, I sincerely apologize for offending you,” she wrote, thanking Peterson for being kind to her mother and signing off with, “you’ll always be our queen of Halloween.”
A video of Peterson’s panel recently went viral, with another panelist joking that Grande is “playing the wrong witch” in reference to her role as Glinda in the upcoming “Wicked” film.

Fan edits of the movie’s promotional material, including an AI animation and photoshopped images, have sparked controversy, with co-star Cynthia Erivo calling the edits degrading.
Grande agreed, stating that some fan edits can go “too far.”

“It’s very complicated, because I find AI so conflicting and troublesome sometimes, but I think it’s such a massive adjustment period…I have so much respect for my sister Cynthia, and I love her so much,” Grande continued.
