Rotten Tomatoes Praises Ariana Grande’s Performance In ‘WICKED’

The anticipation for WICKED is on. New pictures of production and different looks are presenting themselves online which is letting the reality set in that the release date is closer than we think.

Creator Jon M. Chu released a statement on the progress of the film, gushing about the hard work that has been put into production and directing, Giving not one but two incredible updates.

“Here’s what happened: as we prepared this production over the last year, it became increasingly clear that it would be impossible to wrestle the story of WICKED into a single film without doing some real damage to it. As we tried to cut songs or trim characters, those decisions began to feel like fatal compromises to the source material that has entertained us all for so many years. So we decided to give ourselves a bigger canvas and make not just one WICKED movie but TWO!!!”

We can expect not one but two WICKED movies, the first film will be released in November of 2024 and the second will be released in 2025.

If there’s any group of people excited for WICKED it’s Ariana Grande fans.

Grande has been cast as Glinda the Good Witch in the film, it is not a surprise that fans have been missing her and doing anything to get new content from the singer. It’s gotten to the point where fans are reposting leaked songs and creating AI-generated covers featuring Ari’s voice ‘just to feel something.’

As for her role in WICKED, it seems critics are majorly impressed with her performance.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, they have described Ari’s performance in WICKED as epic. Also adding the fact that the singer is at her “vocal peak.”

Fans responded to these comments with love and appreciation with comments like;

“Vocalist of our generation” and  “Every year she reaches a new vocal peak I just know she’s gonna keep improving”
