August 9, 2024– A harrowing video of a plane in the sky spinning and crashing in São Paulo state in Brazil is going viral online. The passenger plane was reportedly carrying 62 passengers and it is believed that all on board have perished as a result of the incident.

Videos of the plane crash have been going viral online after it was revealed that footage was captured before the plane plummeted to the ground. This TikTok video posted by user @dailymail shows the plane reportedly in a flat spin, going toward the ground. People in the comment section claimed that the plane was seemingly in a “deadly” flat spin.

According to this website, this is the definition of a flat spin:

“A flat spin happens when the center of gravity shifts too far aft (toward the tail), and the aircraft’s rotation becomes more horizontal. In this situation, the wings aren’t producing enough lift, and the aircraft essentially falls out of the sky while spinning.”

People also took to the comment section of the above video to share their own explanations of what might’ve occurred with the alleged flat spin that seemingly caused the plane to crash.

It is believed the plane crashed in the city of Vinhedo. Although there are theories surrounding flat spin leading to the crash, the exact origins of what could’ve led to this have not yet been revealed. It is also unclear if all perished as this is still being confirmed.
