The Chiefs victory parade ended in tragedy after a shooting took place. HOLR breaks down what we know so far.

Chiefs Shooting 

A deadly shooting that occurred during the Chiefs’ victory parade in Kansas City has left those around the world shocked. Following the incident, people began questioning the motive behind this alleged attack which reportedly left at least one person dead and more than 20 people injured.

It is alleged that as soon as the parade came to an end a shooting occurred at Union Station- a supposed popular tourist spot.

Chiefs Parade 2024 Shooting

According to this related article, Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves claimed, “We do not have a motive, but we are asking those who may potentially have any kind of information, a witness or video, to contact police,” during a Wednesday news conference.

Allegedly, no suspects have been named and no charges have been announced yet following the incident. Early reports claimed that two people had been detained following the shooting. It is still unclear who took part in this shooting that left scores injured and at least one dead.

As noted here, many of those injured were reportedly children. Supposedly, all of the children being treated are expected to recover and are not in critical condition.

Chiefs Super Bowl Parade

Members of the Chiefs team, such as Travis Kelce, took to social media to share their words of support for Kansas City following the devastating news of the shooting.
