Harbour and Pascal unite in Gilroy’s enigmatic new drama set to begin filming this fall

MCU stars team up for mystery drama from Andor creator

October 2, 2025: David Harbour is in advanced talks to co-star opposite Pedro Pascal in Behemoth!, the new film written and directed by Andor creator Tony Gilroy, produced under Searchlight Pictures.

What we know so far

Harbour, known for Stranger Things and his Marvel role as Red Guardian, is negotiating to join the cast of Behemoth! alongside Pedro Pascal.

The project centers around a cellist, although the full plot and Harbour’s character remain under wraps.

Filming is expected to begin in Los Angeles this fall, with Gilroy writing, directing, and producing alongside Sanne Wohlenberg.

Why this is a big deal

Harbour and Pascal already share history in the Marvel universe, and their pairing in a Tony Gilroy film adds significant weight to the project.

Gilroy’s reputation for layered thrillers and political dramas suggests Behemoth! could be a departure from conventional genre fare, especially with the musical angle hinted by the cellist theme.

For Harbour, this is a timely move as he wraps up his Stranger Things era and continues to build momentum in high-profile films.

There’s still much we don’t know, like Harbour’s role, the wider cast, and the release date—but Behemoth! is already shaping up to be one of the films to watch in the coming seasons.
