Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling Parenting
Although Eva Mendes is known for keeping her family life with Ryan Gosling private, she recently opened up about the challenges she faces raising their two daughters, Esmeralda and Amada.
In a candid discussion on the podcast “Parenting & You” with Dr. Shefali, Mendes spoke about some of the more difficult aspects of parenting, including the habits she’s been working hard to change, especially those ingrained from her own upbringing.
One of the most difficult patterns to break, she shared, is “yelling.”

Mendes clarified that while she doesn’t yell in a mean or aggressive way, she still struggles with it, noting that yelling feels deeply rooted in her cultural background.
“I’m not telling them to ‘shut up’ or anything, but I raise my voice, and it’s something I’m really trying to work on,” Mendes said.
“The rushing and yelling is the hardest thing for me,” Mendes continued.
Getting teary-eyed during the podcast, Mendes expressed her fears of how this might affect her daughters in the long run.
“I don’t want to look back and regret raising them in fear,” Mendes said.
While surrounded by love, Mendes said there was also a lot of chaos and yelling.
Despite these challenges, Mendes is grateful for the lessons her own parents taught her, and she’s working hard to create a more peaceful environment for her children than the one she grew up in.
Eva Mendes Quit Acting
