How did you get your start in the entertainment industry?

I started off in beauty pageants! I absolutely fell in love with performing, once my mom saw I really loved it, I progressed to commercials and theatre.

You’re returning to your role on the Amazon crime drama “Bosch: Legacy” as Paulina Calderon. What has this experience been like?

This experience has been so special to me. Bosch was the first role I booked after taking my long break from acting. Therefore, understandably, Bosch has a very special place in my heart. The cast and crew are like family and definitely set the precedent and tone for me moving forward on the types of sets I want to be a part of.

On another exciting note, we hear that you’re set to star in Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming film “This Is Me…Now”- congrats! Talk to us about your role in this project.

YES! It was a dream come true. I play one of Jen’s friends “The Fighter.” I stand by her and help her through her love journey, whether that is to tell her like it is, have her back, or make her laugh.

Your son, Benson, will be starring in Sofia Vergara’s Netflix original series, “Griselda.” What has it been like having him follow in your acting footsteps?

Benson definitely has been bitten by the acting bug like his mom. Benson loves to direct me from behind the camera. And when Benson is in front of the camera, he loves being in charge of saying, “action” lol. Right now, Benson is having so much fun and enjoys having a good time while in front of the camera.

What’s next for you?

I just finished wrapping up a rom-com movie where I am the lead. So, I am thrilled for it to come out, as it is not only well-written and funny, but also sends a positive message for women. I feel like 2024 is all about me taking the next step into more projects that stretch me as an actor.
