Kesha’s Autoimmune Disorder & Health Scare

The “Blah Blah Blah” was interviewed for the June cover of Self and revealed some of her recent health struggles. “I almost died in January, said Kesha. She had frozen her eggs last year and weeks later she was having difficulty walking after performing on New Year’s Eve in the Bahamas. Kesha had checked into the hospital and doctors had discovered “an “uncommon yet serious complication from the fertility procedure, which they attributed, in part, to her weakened immune system.” Kesha told Self about her common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) which she was diagnosed with in 2022.

“I just was taking my reproductive health into my own hands,” said Kesha. The “Tik Tok” star stands by one having the option, “whether, and when, to give birth”. Unfortunately, post-freezing of her eggs led Kesha to be transferred to a Miami hospital where she spent nine days. “I finally feel recovered, but it took a couple months,” said Kesha. “It was horrifying.”
