Why did people like the franchise?
Simply because it was relatable, and it came down to the onscreen chemistry between and the characters themselves.
But how much chemistry was there if one cast member disliked everything about it?
Because two cast members seem to disagree on the experience with Jacob Elordi calling the whole series “ridiculous.”
Still, Elordi’s comments surprised Taylor Zakhar Perez.
In a statement to Variety on Nov. 16, the Kissing Booth actor shared his feelings on his co-star.
“I thought it was a shame because to my knowledge, everybody else had such a wonderful experience,” he said.
“It’s a shame that was his experience on the set. Especially when those movies came out, it was a time when we really needed something like that.”
Did Jacob Elordi not like The Kissing Booth?
It came down to one thing for Jacob, he prefers to focus on projects that are creatively fulfilling for him.
And the Kissing Booth franchise just wasn’t, and he opened up to GQ about the experience.
“I didn’t want to make those movies before I made those movies,” he said. “Those movies are ridiculous. They’re not universal. They’re an escape.”

Fans of the franchise certainly think so and have had no qualms about letting him know it.
