Featuring a Please Don’t Destroy standout and viral TikTok sketchers as the show revamps.
A Bold New Chapter Begins
September 2, 2025: As Saturday Night Live gears up for Season 51, the live sketch comedy institution is shaking things up with five fresh faces. Among them is Ben Marshall—promoted from writer and member of the beloved Please Don’t Destroy trio—now stepping into a full-time featured player role.
Fresh Faces from All Corners of Comedy
Joining Marshall are four rising talents, each bringing a unique comedic background:
Tommy Brennan, a stand-up comic recognized as a Just for Laughs “New Face,” who made his Tonight Show debut this summer.
Jeremy Culhane, known for his viral TikTok sketches and appearances in Dropout TV series.
Kam Patterson, a stand-up veteran from the Kill Tony podcast, also set to appear in Kevin Hart’s upcoming Netflix comedy 72 Hours.
Veronika Slowikowska, a social-media sketch comedian with credits in Tires, Poker Face, and What We Do in the Shadows.
Farewell to Familiar Faces
This revamp follows the exit of several longtime or fan-favorite cast members: Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Emil Wakim, and Devon Walker. These departures, part of a broader shift, mark a deliberate creative refresh after celebrating the show’s 50th season.
