Taylor Swift Concert Cancelled After News Of A Planned Terrorist Attack

August 9th, 2024 – Taylor Swift had to cancel concerts in Austria after news of a terrorist attack broke.

Taylor had to cancel her shows in Vienna, Austria after the government raised concerns about a planned terrorist attack. Taylor and the Vienna authorities released a statement, part of which stated, “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Vienna shows canceled due to government officials confirmation of planned terrorist attack … We have no choice but to cancel the 3 scheduled shows for everyone’s safety.”.  (here) The venue stated they would give full refunds to concertgoers. However, most fans are either sad the concert is canceled or still scared for their safety following news of the planned attacks.

Taylor Swift Terrorist Attack

Police arrested a suspect yesterday following the cancelation of the concerts. A 19-year-old Austrian boy had planned an attack of mass destruction. Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer posted a message today stating, “The main perpetrator confessed that he wanted to carry out a suicide attack with two accomplices. The two suspects, who investigators say had become radicalized online by ISIS, had allegedly wanted to carry out the attack outside the Ernst Happel Stadium — killing fans with self-made explosives and machetes, security officials said Thursday.  (here) They also hoped to take themselves out in the “bloodbath” if they were successful. No other details have currently been released about the situation. Although, it’s relieving to hear everyone is currently safe.
