Charlotte Tilbury’s latest collection of foundations and colour correctors is a reminder that we’re all flawless. The foundation is refreshingly inclusive with 44 skin-coded shades, and the different tones make it even easier to find your match.
The brand’s Canadian launch was whimsical and dreamy, with fresh bouquets of pink and white flowers everywhere, and of course, the new products. They served up raspberry cocktails at the event while
photographers snapped photos of guests at a portrait studio. But most importantly, makeup artists
were on hand to help everyone find their perfect match and leave looking flawless.
Airbrush Flawless Foundation, $53
You’ll be using the hashtag #NoFilter after applying this full-coverage foundation. It lasts for 16
hours and doesn’t dry out your skin. Instead, it moisturizes for the entire day using the benefits
of one of the world’s oldest plants: moss. Tilbury relied on technology to recreate its resilient
properties. The result? The foundation has the hydration and stretch usually lacking from this
category of makeup.
The benefits don’t stop there. The foundation also contains a serum called Replexium that
reduces the look of wrinkles. After eight weeks, you’ll start to notice the results.
“I have searched for the ultimate skincare compound throughout my career,” said Tilbury, “and I
have now collaborated with leading skin science experts to find this miracle serum ingredient,
which is a fusion of two patented peptides.”
So while you look airbrushed and ready for a day of meetings or a night of partying, your
foundation will be working overtime to keep you looking youthful. But it doesn’t only fight signs
of aging, it also limits exposure to pollutants you come across daily with a blend of natural
ingredients, like microalgae and amino acids. And don’t sweat it if you’re going to be active. The
foundation releases menthol into your skin so you’ll feel refreshed and cool. And, on top of all of
that, it smells heavenly.
Magic Vanish Colour Corrector, $38
You’ll be happy to carry around this pocket-sized, adorable colour corrector. It comes in the
brand’s signature rose gold case, complete with a mirror on the inside so you can apply it on the
go. Just like the foundation, the colour correctors are made for all kinds of skin tones. Tilbury said she was inspired to make her new line more inclusive because she was always juggling too
many products and mixing them to match a wide array of complexions.
The lightweight colour correctors balance skin’s pigmentation and come in four shades. They’re
packed with flavanoids (from oranges) to reduce puffiness under your eyes within five hours.
The formula gets its texture from carnauba wax, which makes it go on smoothly and seamlessly.
It also contains mica, a mineral found in rocks like granite, for that silky feel and illuminating
shine.
If you’re looking for products that benefit your skin while enhancing your natural beauty, this is
the product for you. As Tilbury said, “Flawless is a feeling”, and that will definitely be your new mantra
after trying out the line of foundations and colour correctors — available everywhere on August 29.
