Grayson Murray’s death has been confirmed as suicide.

Grayson Murray, a two-time PGA Tour winner, sadly passed away suddenly this past weekend. Murray was only 30 years old at the time of his death, in which he passed away on Saturday after withdrawing Friday during the second round of the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge. He withdrew after reportedly claiming he had an “illness.”

The cause of death has been deemed a suicide following the saddening news of Murray’s passing. As HOLR previously reported here, Murray reportedly had a history of depression, anxiety, and alcohol abuse in which he was open about his struggles.

What did Grayson Murray pass away from?

In this metamax.news TikTik clip, Murray claims how his parents have been through “hell and back” for the past several years with him. He claimed he had been “fighting some mental stuff” and stated that it has not been easy on him or the people around him who love him as they don’t like to see him “down.” He credited them as his number-one supporters in the video.

Murray had a passion for golf since a young age, and, as noted here, at the age of 16, he made his first cut on the Korn Ferry Tour. He was the second-youngest player ever to do so. This is a sad time for the golf community, as Murray will be missed.

Murray leaves behind his fiancée, Christiana Ritchie, in which the pair recently got engaged back in late 2023.

It is unclear why Murray committed suicide, but the entire golf community is mourning his loss.
