One of the best parts of being inside during lockdown is having more time to do all of those exercise classes we’ve been putting off. Fortunately, with all of the great free live streams available, I’ve been able to test out multiple trainers from both Canada and the U.S. These streams are super motivating and actually have me looking forward to getting physical. Here are 8 steams that I’ve been really loving while in lockdown.

Hot Pilates

Feel the burn with these pilates streams courtesy of Hot Pilates. Located in West Hollywood, these high energy pilates classes will make you sweat while help you toning and lengthening.

Lift Corktown

Follow Lift Corktown founder and trainer to Shawn Mendes, Josh Adamson on Instagram for a serious pump that you can do in your living room. Josh Adamson is a Nike master trainer and will teach you some of his workout techniques via zoom and Instagram Live.

Alo Yoga

Alo Yoga has taken the yoga-wear world by storm and they’re now offering great yoga practices that will help you to stretch while finding some inner peace.

Barry’s Bootcamp

Take a Barry’s class with one of the Barry’s Canada Bootcamp instructors via their Instagram. These classes are high energy and will give you the cardio and strengthening you’ve been wanting without having to leave your living room.

Melissa Wood

Melissa Wood has a loyal following online and with good reason. Her pilates classes really hit the spot and strengthen and tone in an easy-to-follow workout.

I started sharing my workouts almost 5 years ago after I had my son because I didn’t have time to kill myself in the gym like I once believed you needed to do, to have the body you desired. I thought cardio and high intensity training was the answer to seeing results because that’s what every trainer told me I needed to do to lean out. But…the second I slowed everything down and learned how to use my body and move with intention, I started seeing results beyond anything I had ever experienced before. These slow controlled precise movements using yoga + pilates principles will sculpt beautiful long, lean lines throughout your entire body. But most importantly…this practice isn’t just about building the body you desire…it’s about creating a better, stronger relationship with yourself. ? – I thought it would be helpful to share a few things for those who are new to me and my method: I publish a brand new workout every Monday am. – There are over 60+ categorized flows (arms, abs, booty + lower body) in my library at all times including pre + post natal series, dance cardio warm ups, treadmill series and a variation of guided meditations. – The power of using your own body weight is real. I do add some props like a band, ball and 1lb weights to intensify the movements occasionally, but you Do Not need anything but your body to see results. I promise, I much prefer using my own body weight most days over adding props. I believe alternating props and your own body weights helps to lengthen and lean the muscles when you change it up. – I am so insanely fueled by your feedback so please ask me any questions you have or anything you’d like me to focus more on.
