What happened to Chris Watts after he was convicted of killing his pregnant wife and children?

Chris Watts was convicted of killing his pregnant wife, Shanann, as well as his two daughters, Celeste and Bella after they went missing in 2018 as mentioned here.

Although he initially stated he had “no idea” where the girls were, he later confessed to his crimes and pleaded guilty to the murders of Shanann, Bella, and Celeste. Watts was ultimately sentenced to “three consecutive and two concurrent life sentences” for his crimes.

Watts was also having an affair with his then-girlfriend Nichol Kessinger, at the time and retaliated against Shanann after she allegedly threatened to keep him from his girls after finding out about his affair. Watts reportedly told investigators he’d “snapped” and was “in a rage” as noted here.

Watts is currently in a maximum-security prison and reportedly keeps photos of Shanann, Celeste, and Bella in his cell to “talk to them every night.” Watts “spends 23 hours of his day in lockdown” leaving his cell for only one hour per day to shower or exercise.
