Why did Daisy Kent turn down being the next Bachelorette? HOLR breaks down the alleged details.

Kent was the runner-up on season 28 of The Bachelor with Joey Graziadei. She recently shared why she chose to turn down the opportunity to continue in the franchise.

She explained that there were a few reasons for how she made her decision. On April 4 Kent went on Nick Viall’s podcast The Viall Files. She shared that it ultimately boiled down to her health, “So one, my health is an aspect of it. I knew as the lead, it’s a lot on you—like not only emotionally but also physically, too.”

The author has been very open about her journey with Meniere’s disease, which caused her hearing loss. She also struggles with Lyme disease and her process of getting a cochlear implant. Kent emphasized her concerns about not getting enough sleep and the ongoing process of hurting people’s feelings.  She even consulted former Bachelorettes about what their experiences were like.

Ultimately, Daisy seems happy about her decision to not take on The Bachelorette (also mentioned here).

“I thought really long and hard about all of it,” she said. “It wasn’t an easy decision. I was wondering after it got announced how I would feel. If I would be like, ‘Oh, I wish I would have done it.’ But I’m so happy right now I didn’t. So it feels good. I know I made the right decision for me.”
