Prince Harry isn’t happy with how Meghan Markle has been treated in the UK. The former Duke of Sussex told tabloids that dangerous and illegal tactics were being used against himself and his family. The UK tabloids went to great lengths to obtain information about the couple, namely Meghan Markle. One of the main ways Prince Harry noted was by tapping cell phones to receive conversations and text messages between multiple parties.

The Prince publicly discussed a similar situation back in December 2023 in his phone hacking lawsuit against the Daily Mirror’s publisher. The court awarded him around $180,000 in damages. Harry says, “They pushed me too far,” referring to the safety and integrity of his wife and kids. The Prince has had little of his life not captured by cameras, and the attention is now becoming overwhelming with a new unconventional family dynamic.

Prince Harry also noted how speaking up affects those in his family still residing in the UK. When asked if the media coverage has strained the relationship between himself and his brother, Harry said, “It’s certainly a central piece to it.”That’s a hard question to answer because anything I say about my family results in a torrent of abuse from the press.” Although disheartened that it has caused some of the strain from his family, he believes it’s necessary. He has to do what’s best for the new part of his family, even if they don’t want to help or support the Prince in his endeavors.
