Through the story, she meets Angel Clare, a very different man who offers her love and salvation. Yet, she must decide whether she will reveal her past or not. This couple is played by Gemma Arterton and Eddie Redmayne.

North & South (2004)

A love story by Elizabeth Gaskell that crosses social divides and is brought to life in a four-part adaptation by Sandy Welch. Margaret Hale starts a new life at a northern mill town, leaving behind her middle-class rural life. She then first-hand witnesses the misfortune of the poor working class and grows disdain for the mill owner John Thornton.

Pride and Prejudice (1995)

Mrs. Bennet frantically tries to find husbands for her five daughters. The second oldest daughter, the willful and strong-minded Elizabeth Bennet, matches wits and encounters with haughty and handsome Mr. Darcy, played by young Colin Firth.

Jane Eyre (1983)

An enduring romance by Charlotte Bronte about a governess who falls for her troubled, yet kind-spirited master. Everything changes when she discovers a heartbreaking reality.

Wuthering Heights (1978)

The unforgettable story by Emily Bronte about jealousy, revenge and destructive passion of lovers Heathcliff and Cathy.
