Las Vegas is a go-to destination for world-class cuisine- where showstopping dishes meet incredible ambiance and service, offering you an experience you’ll never forget.

las vegas

Las Vegas is the ultimate destination and its food scene is not to be missed, as there is truly nothing like it. It’s a go-to when it comes to experiencing world-class culinary offerings, from celebrity chefs to fine dining tasting menus to everything in between. Although there’s no right or wrong way to experience the culinary food scene in Las Vegas,  in order to make the most out of your food tour journey, HOLR is here to help!

We’re rounding up the top restaurants (from “treat yourself” to “budget-friendly”) that offer a “can’t miss” culinary experience and will be sure to make your stay in Las Vegas one to remember.

In no particular order, these are HOLR’s top restaurant picks to visit:

Kusa Nori

This Japanese bistro is located in Resorts World Las Vegas, in which guests are invited to experience an authentic cuisine that is thoughtfully plated and presented to ensure an experience unlike any other from start to finish.

The staff and space are invitingly warm, in which Kusa Nori draws design inspiration from Japan through elements such as a built-in sushi bar and teppanyaki grill. This is in addition to cultural details such as sake served in traditional wooden boxes.

Guests can expect innovative dishes from Japan that are thoughtfully created to combine both taste and creativity. For those looking to embark on a one-of-a-kind culinary journey, you can choose from traditional yakitori and teppanyaki creations in addition to menu items such as specialty sushi rolls, sashimi and nigiri, seafood, robata meats, and oysters. Sake pairings are also quite popular, and the restaurant offers an expansive selection to choose from to compliment your meal. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to explaining each dish and can offer advice on which sake to pair with your dishes.

HOLR had the opportunity to experience Kusa Nori firsthand, in which the chef prepared a bento tasting experience with some of the menu’s star offerings. Below are some of the highlights of the Bento Box Tasting Menu, which offered sample sizes of Alaskan king crab with chilled, shiso avocado puree; shigoku oyster shooter with premium sake Kaluga caviar shigoku oyster; A5 Temari sushi; Hokkaido diver scallop Crudo; bluefin tuna tartare. As someone who is a fan of seafood, this was an absolute delight!

The Bento Box was followed by the next course of Madai Kobujime (kombu marinated Tai snapper; shiso; Shiro ponzu), which was then followed by oysters (shigoku oysters; shiso sakura shoyu mignonette; kusa cocktail sauce; golden ikura; gold flake), and finished off with one of our favourite dishes- A5 Tokushima Gold Wagyu (baby gem heart; rakkyo; truffle teriyaki).

We then enjoyed the chef’s premium sushi selection and finished off with a delectable round of dessert, which included Pineapple Passion “Kekkon” (caramelized pineapple; micro sponge; sake sorbet), and “Rakkasei” Layer Crunch Bar (peanut butter layers; Valrhona cremeux; praline crunch; vanilla bean ice cream).

Everything is cooked to absolute perfection and comes beautifully plated. The staff is also incredibly gracious and helps present the food in dazzling (and ultra-Instagrammable) ways. This is a go-to for experiencing the ultimate in Japanese cuisine in Las Vegas.

Delilah Lounge and Fine Dining

This spot is “dramatic yet playful.”

This highly sought-after modern-day supper club is located in the Wynn Las Vegas and will transport you back in time. The ambiance feels almost exclusive, in which the decor is inspired by Las Vegas showrooms of the 1950s. This is where you can enjoy everything from fine dining to live performances and smooth jazz. Guests can indulge in menu offerings ranging from seafood towers to caviar to glazed short ribs to foie gras. Don’t forget to try the club’s famed chicken tenders, made from scratch. What truly makes this space unique are the special performances that guests can enjoy while fine dining. When HOLR was invited to experience Delilah, we were lucky enough to enjoy drinks and dinner while a special live performance played in the background.

When visiting Delilah, the Encore Plateau was a delicacy HOLR thoroughly enjoyed (and would highly recommend) which featured an assortment of Alaskan king crab, oishii shrimp, Maine lobster, and west coast oysters. Everything is fresh and immaculately presented- although fair warning that no pictures are allowed inside, so you’ll have to mentally document it all. Other menu items that can’t be missed include an Uni and Black Truffle Shooter, Osetra Caviar Donut, Wagyu Steak Tartare, and Delilah’s Famous Chicken Tenders.

When it comes to drinks, The Kylie is a crowd-favourite, featuring 818 Blanco tequila (of course), peach, citrus melange, and pretties. The Jojo is another Delilah classic with sunny vodka, St. Germain liqueur, strawberry, lemon, and prosecco. There is also an extensive wine list for those who fancy a glass, and champagne, which is available by the bottle to help ring in any celebratory nights.

Guests can also look forward to browsing a dessert and late-night menu in addition to the restaurant’s main menu.

Be sure to book this go-to spot as early as possible as reservations are hard to come by and this is an experience you don’t want to miss.

GIADA

Say hello to your new favourite brunch spot located right on the strip at the Cromwell Las Vegas! World-renowned chef Giada De Laurentiis’ Italian cuisine with a California twist takes center stage at this can’t-miss spot offering incredible strip views.

HOLR stopped by the space for brunch to experience a series of delicious entrees such as the Lobster Hash and Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Pancakes.

While sipping on a Frose by the window, we also tasted Giada’s Fresh Pastry assortment, which included a gluten-free blueberry muffin, chocolate croissant, strawberry cheesecake danish, and rosemary-parmesan scone.

Each of the dishes includes bright, bold flavours that are reminiscent of the Italian and Californian cuisines that Giada draws inspiration from. The space is also incredibly bright and airy, making this a worthwhile stop on your Las Vegas food tour.

House of Blues Restaurant and Bar

If you’re in the mood for some comfort food, House of Blues (located at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino) is your go-to. The southern-inspired, budget-friendly menu features made-from-scratch items that can’t be missed.

HOLR was excited to try House of Blues specialties such as the Yardbird (featuring bourbon-butter-brushed fried chicken breast, brioche bun, house-made slaw, seasoned mayo, dill pickle chips) and Baby Back Ribs with BBQ beans, house-made slaw, and Memphis BBQ sauce.

To round out these delicious mains, we opted for sides of Jalapeno Cornbread and Mac and Cheese- served piping hot in a skillet.

Other menu offerings include savoury sandwiches, burgers, and southern specialties such as Jambalaya, Shrimp and Grits, and Blackened Salmon. Everything is made with love and served fresh to order. Plus, you can come for the food and stay for the live performances. This is an absolute must-try when visiting the destination.

Vanderpump à Paris

Perfect for date night or girls’ night, HOLR’s go-to for cocktail hour is Vanerpump a Paris, located along the strip in Paris Las Vegas. Featuring whimsical cocktails and delectable dishes, the space draws inspiration from Paris with eclectic and romantic design details that feel as if you’ve been whisked away to the city of lights. From the velvet banquettes to the crystal light fixtures, you’ll feel as if you’re enjoying a rainy afternoon in Paris. The ambiance couldn’t be more perfect.

The moody atmosphere is ideal for enjoying playfully delicious drinks such as LoveLocked (a dream drink for couples as it comes with a lock and key you can sign and leave hanging at the front of the restaurant, reminiscent of the Pont des Arts in Paris) and Louvre at First Sight.

If you fancy a dish off the grand newspaper-style menu, HOLR recommends trying the Crispy Chicken Confit, Le Mac, and Bourgignon Pot Pie- although you can’t go wrong with any of the offerings. Each dish is reminiscent of local French cuisine but accented with a modern twist- which makes this spot extra special.

Las Vegas features an abundance of culinary options and experiences both on and off the strip, where budgets big and small are considered. In addition to the above must-tries, movie buffs will love checking out the popular Peppermill for breakfast (which made a cameo in the 1995 film, Casino), located just down the street from Resorts World Las Vegas.

As you can see, the destination offers a variety of go-to’s and hidden gems that guests will love exploring. These may be HOLR’s top picks for making the most of your Las Vegas food tour, but rest assured that the destination offers an extensive selection of top-tier culinary experiences you’ll have the best time trying.
