Bill Skarsgård Shares His Questionable Diet For The Crow

August 26th, 2024 – Actor Bill Skarsgård revealed his oddly strict diet for the film “The Crow”.

The Crow Bill Skarsgård

Bill Skarsgård revealed how dedicated he was to his role in “The Crow.”. Skarsgård is set to play the film’s title character 30 years after the original movie of the same name was released. Director Rupert Sanders was shocked by how far Bill had gone in portraying the title role. “I’d take Bill out to dinner, and I’d always just order for him because I knew what he was eating,” Sanders shared. “It’s basically steak tartare and raw eggs,” Sanders said. He also had a demanding exercise schedule and spent months training with a personal trainer.

“Me and my trainer kept adding a little bit of weight onto what I’d already been doing, but I didn’t want to be too big either,” Skarsgård said. “It was tricky because they wanted the Crow to be ripped, but the character Eric shouldn’t be. I didn’t feel like the character should be thin, but you can’t afford to split it into six months, the ‘Raging Bull’ kind of way. So we did a lot of weight training and ate a lot of protein.”.

The Crow Brandon Lee

Overall, the cast seems to have put a lot of work into the film; however, it comes at a risk. The original 1994 film stars Brandon Lee, son of actor Bruce Lee. Sadly, Lee was killed at the onset of the movie after an accidental shooting on set in 1993. The film was finished after Lee’s death and was released in 1994. Many people question if they can watch a remake of the movie because of the tragedy behind the first film. However, it seems Bill Skarsgård hopes to bring honor to Lee in his new role. “An iconic performance, a tragic thing that happened with Brandon,” Skarsgård said. “And for me, I approached this like I do any other job, like, ‘What’s this story? How can I do this story justice?’ “.
