They have become internationally popular due to their distinctive style, large holes, and a foam-like patent which contains foam resin known as Croslite.
The breathable foam-style sandals were founded in the early 2000s by George Boeddecker Jr., Lyndon Hanson, and Scott Seamans. Their inspiration derived from Foam Creations, a Canadian company located in Quebec which was acquired by the three founders. Crocs America is located in Broomfield, Colorado.
Crocs have been widely called the “ugly shoes comfort” and are familiar to clog wearers. Unlike clogs, and according to medical experts, crocs provide a source of support due in part to their ability to foam itself to the wearer’s feet.

Shields starred in the controversial 70s movie “Pretty Baby, which led to the teenage dramas “Blue Lagoon” and “Endless Love” on the big screen.

Brooke Shields Toe Surgery
The 59-year-old posted on her Instagram the day before the 2024 Tony Awards, that she had surgery on her foot weeks prior and was looking forward to showing off her feet.
Shields shared a photo of herself in a car with her feet laid out on the seat in braces. She captioned it “The feet pics are to level up… Double foot toe surgery.”

The former Calvin Klein model starred in many Broadway musical shows over the years including, Grease, Chicago, and Cabaret. Shields is currently the President of the Actors’ Equity Association, a labor union representing stage performers and managers.
