Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese Will Play Together In The WNBA All-Star Game
July 22nd, 2024 – WNBA stars Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark will compete together in the upcoming WNBA All-Star match against the US Olympic Team.
WNBA All-Star Game
WNBA rookies Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark will put their rivalry aside to lead the WNBA team in the upcoming All-Star game. Clark, who plays for Iowa, and Reese, who plays for LSU, gained a lot of attention within the past year. Both women faced off with their respective teams in the 2023 WNBA bracket. Both women are now top 10 draft picks and vie for similar awards and recognition in their sport. Although working together for this event, they even took some time to have a half-court shot completion in the middle of training.
The women and the rest of their All-Stars team will compete against Team USA. The Olympic team is led by A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart. The players in the All-Star game were selected based on several factors. Fans, other teammates, and the media all influenced the women they wanted to see on the court for this game.
Caitlin Clark Angel Reese
Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have been put together since their careers started to take off. While the women claim it’s not all bad blood in their world, some moments left fans and teammates tense whenever the women came face to face—one of the most notable moments during a game last year between LSU and Iowa. Clark and Reese both work hard and put themselves out there on the court. But sometimes, the attitude and ego can go too far.
While both women were trash-talking and taunting during a game last year, Reese was the one who came under fire. Many people criticized the way she trash-talked during the game. The main issue arose when it was found that Clark performed the same actions during a game but wasn’t called out by fans and spectators. It caused tension not only between supporters of the teams but also between races. Many fans related this instance to the way Clark and Reese are normally treated. It’s been noted that Reese is criticized or pushed aside, while Clark is usually the first to be praised and awarded. While people still argue about their devotion to both women, they respect each other. On and off the court, even if it doesn’t look like it, they have been able to be civil and both enjoy the game like they always have.
