During an interview for Elle UK, Cara Delevingne spoke about her sobriety journey and how it impacts her life. Delevingne confessed that being sober has made her feel “calmer” and “stable.”

“It hasn’t [been easy], but there have never been moments when I’m like, ‘This isn’t worth it.’ It’s been worth every second. I just don’t know what it would take for me to give it up. I am stable. I’m calmer.” she said. “For a long time, I felt like I was hiding a lot from people who looked up to me. I finally feel as though I can be free and myself, fully,” Cara added as she opened up about the burden she felt trying to hide her struggles.

Earlier this year, the supermodel spoke about her drug addiction and how it impacted her life in an interview for Vogue in April 2023.

“It’s a scary thing to the people around you who love you. At that point, there was a lot of people who were very worried, understandably so.” she said in April. “I wasn’t really worried … but that is the nature of the disease.” Delevingne added. “It’s heartbreaking because I thought I was having fun, but at some point, it was like, ‘OK, I don’t look well.’ So in a way, those pictures were something to be grateful for.”
