Bodycam footage was recently released from Singer DaniLeigh’s 2023 arrest. She was arrested in Miami for a DUI Hit and Run. Dani struck a teenager on a moped while driving under the influence. The teen sustained a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture. After police caught up with the singer, she was detained. However, the released bodycam footage showed Dani trying to talk her way out of arrest. She was notably still drunk during the encounter. But, she tried to excuse herself, saying she should be let off because she’s an artist, particularly an R&B singer.

When Dani was arrested, she also noted that she was out on the town with other people, including Rapper Quavo and some of his bodyguards. She claimed she was okay because Quavo was helping her out. Dani also claimed to have passed sobriety tests during her arrest. However, police noted she blew 0.145 and 0.148 on the Breathalyzer, nearly double the legal limit. Dani continued to deny hitting the teenager, but multiple witnesses caught her at the scene.

Dani was eventually cuffed and taken to jail, where she was booked on three felony charges: driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, and DUI damage to property. She was convicted in February after pleading no contest to misdemeanor and felony charges and sentenced to five years probation.
