Dean McDermott is celebrating one year of sobriety amidst Tori Spelling seperation. 

July 2, 2024- Canadian actor and reality TV personality, Dean McDermott, is celebrating one year of sobriety in an Instagram post.

The “Open Range” star posted a photo of a homemade poster that read, “1 Year, 12 Months, 365 Days, 8,760 Hours,” on Tuesday morning.

McDermott wrote, “Last week was an incredible week of love, hugs and recovery. Thank you to my Sponsor, my Sponsee Brothers, and everyone in the fellowship for celebrating my 1-year birthday.”

He continued, “A special thanks to @_harmonyplace J, D, and H for saving my life. If you’re struggling with addiction, just surrender and ask for help. We’re here waiting for you, to love you, until you love yourself. A beautiful life awaits you. Just reach out your hand.”

Founded by Jeffrey H. Schwartz, Harmony Place owns several sober living homes and halfway houses in Los Angeles, California.

Last summer, McDermott informed Daily Mail that he had completed a 40-day rehab program and now lives in a sober living home with eight other men.

Tori Spelling Divorce

Back in November of 2023, McDermott revealed to Daily Mail that his substance abuse and rage fits put the final nail in the coffin of his marriage to actress Tori Spelling.

Spelling, 51, is best known for role in Beverly Hills 90210 from 1999 to 2000.

The pair tied the knot in 2006 and are parents to five children.

The former “Chopped Canada” host announced the split from Spelling in an Instagram post in June 2023, but the post has since then been removed.

McDermott is now dating Lily Calo, who is allegedly a senior account executive at Conscious Community Global.

The pair were first seen together back in October of 2023.

In May, McDermott posted a photo on Instagram with Calo at “The Magic Castle” in Los Angeles, California.

McDermott wrote, “Sometimes you just gotta put on your best buds and take your girl to The Magic Castle. Cuz she’s magic!! #mylovey.”
