Nicki Minaj is going viral online following a video clip that alleges the star endorsed Donald Trump ahead of the 2024 elections.

October 30, 2024– According to social media platforms such as X and Reddit, there is a viral video circulating of Nicki Minaj in which she allegedly endorses Donald Trump. The US elections are next week on November 5, 2024, so this video clip has been making its rounds online.

This X account (@RedMusic_us) reposted the viral video of Minaj (alongside a man who appears to be Kenneth Petty) in which she can be seen talking about Donald Trump and voting.

“Because you’re an American, I can now fill out paperwork and vote in the United States of America of Donald Trump, and I would like to thank my fans and everybody that supported me,” says Minaj in the viral clip.

However, following the video going viral online, it seems as though this endorsement is fake news.

As outlined in this article by SportsKeeda, podcaster Rob Smith came forward to claim that the video clip is actually old and not from this year’s elections.

Supposedly, the video in question is actually from 2019, when Trump was president.

Is Nicki Minaj a US Citizen?

Minaj admitted to not being a US citizen so she therefore has no right to vote in the US elections. This was outlined on a TikTok Live session that the star participated in recently. Minaj has Trinidad and Tobago citizenship.

As outlined in the star’s Wikipedia page here, she reportedly claimed, “You would think that with the millions of dollars that I’ve paid in taxes to this country that I would have been given an honorary citizenship many, many [years] ago.”
