August 23rd, 2024 – Drew Barrymore addresses comments about her interviewing style ahead of her talk show renewal.

Drew Barrymore recently talked to Entertainment Tonight about her talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show. The show recently received a two-year renewal ahead of its return for season five this fall. However, Barrymore addressed a controversy in her interview, referring to how she conducts her interviews. She said she will “try to practice physical distance,”, after the internet pointed out her body language towards the guests on her show.

“Do you know how hard the pandemic was for me?” she teased. “I was alone in a studio by myself! I like to be around people.”. Barrymore admitted she understands her interview style is “not everyone’s favorite.”. However, she will try to be mindful of her actions while maintaining her usual joyful spirit. “I am so into working on myself as a person that I think that’s always going to be a big part of the show, is how do we live a life? And what makes us thrive, not just survive, and that’s different for everyone,” she shared. The renewal of The Drew Barrymore show will take place through 2025-2026. Furthermore, season five of the show will start on September 9th.
