What Do These Metrics Mean?

Views

In Google Analytics 4 (GA4), “Views” represents the total number of times users viewed pages or screens on the website during the selected reporting period. A view is recorded each time a webpage is viewed or when a page is loaded again.

Active Users

In Google Analytics 4 (GA4), “active users” refers to the number of unique users who had an engaged session on the website during the selected time period.

A user is generally considered active if they:

• Spend 10 seconds or more on the site or app, or
• View 2 or more pages/screens, or
• Includes 1 or more key events.

Event Count

Event Count represents the total number of tracked interactions recorded on the website during the selected period. These can include page views, scrolling, clicks, and other interactions that GA4 tracks as events.
