Iguanas Falling Out Of Trees In Florida

As noted in the video, temperatures are dropping in the US. The TikToker claims that almost everywhere in the US is having record-breaking cold spells except for Florida. Florida is reportedly experiencing temperatures in the 80s while the rest of the US is currently in the negatives.

Allegedly, Florida’s “time to freeze” has finally come. Over the next few days, temperatures may drop from the 80s to the 50s and mid-low 30s. Except for Miami, which will only drop to the low 60s, supposedly.

However, this temperature drop will cause a unique thing for the state’s iguanas, as the TikToker notes. Iguanas are allegedly going to start falling out of trees which will make it look like it’s raining iguanas.

Florida Iguanas Freezing

Supposedly, this will happen because iguanas are cold-blooded, which means that when the temp drops as low as the 40s, they may start falling out of the trees if they are sitting in them. The iguanas will reportedly be fine once it starts to warm up according to the TikToker.

As noted here, these colder temperatures can cause iguanas to become immobilized and freeze, leading them to fall out of the trees they are hanging out in. The article also alleges that although the reptiles may look dead,  once the temperatures warm back up, they will “be revived and start to walk around.”
