Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will be released in May 2024.

20th Century Studios has released the teaser trailer of “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.” The franchise is back after its previous installment, “War for the Planet of the Apes,” in 2017.

The story picks up where it ended in the previous movie, where Caesar dies at the end of the last movie. The film is set several generations following Caesar’s reign.

It stars Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Peter Macon, Eka Darville, Kevin Durand, William H. Macy and Dichen Lachman. Wes Ball directs it, the producers are Wes Ball, Joe Hartwick, Jr., Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver and Jason Reed. Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping are the executive producers.

It’s the fourth film of the reboot series of Planet of the Apes. The previous three movies of the reboot series were Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) and War for the Planet of the Apes (2017).

The franchise was launched with the 1968 film Planet of the Apes. After that, three more movies were made before the remake of the first movie in 2001.However, there was also a television series in 1974 and an animated series in 1975, Return to the Planet of the Apes.

“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” will hit the theatres in May 2024. Watch the teaser trailer below.
