Tell us about yourselves and how you founded your jewelry brand, Lisa Gozlan Jewelry.

In 2019, I was working as a personal stylist and found it was very difficult to find high quality, affordable jewelry that I could outsource for myself and for my clients. There weren’t many options in Toronto, and I couldn’t find any solid gold pieces without breaking the bank. I realized there was a need for high quality jewelry at an attainable price.

My husband, Ryan, is a 5th generation jeweler whose grandfather started his business in 1960. Ryan was working in wholesale and distribution dealing with big box stores like Walmart. However, he felt he was lacking creativity in his work, and ended up designing custom pieces

Ryan would make me pieces that people would literally buy right off me, and after a few months we decided to launch a namesake brand together.

How is jewelry an extension of your wardrobe and personality?

I believe jewelry is a direct reflection of who you are and your personality. As well, it can be styled with things such as a simple white t-shirt to become effortless glam.
This is because jewelry has the power to create a look.

Jewelry says a lot about who you are and your personality. This is because people wear jewelry that was passed down from generation to generation, and has incredible meaning or stories behind it.

What are some of the best-selling pieces we can shop from the brand?

We have definitely become known for our viral Happy Face Collection. For instance, BR025 and BR030 are super popular styles. Our Core Ring Collection is also a top bestseller.

Where does the inspiration for your pieces come from?

There are plenty of places where I love to draw inspiration, from traveling to meeting new people all over the world. We often refer to the Gozlan Family Archives for inspiration, in which we’ve started releasing archive ring collection drops. As a result, the Archive Ring Collection is a direct reflection of past designs from Ryan’s late grandfather.

How do you integrate sustainable practices into your product sourcing?

One of the ways we incorporate sustainable practices into our brand is through recycling gold while working directly with a limited number of suppliers.
A portion of our products are also only available made-to-order, meaning our production only ever meets demand and there is no material waste.

Lisa Gozlan has a store located in Toronto, but you recently had trunk shows in New York City and Palm Beach, so what’s next for the brand?

We are eager to continue growing and expanding our presence not only within Canada, but internationally. The United States in particular, is somewhere we see ourselves hopefully opening a storefront soon. Until then, we plan to continue testing various markets, hosting pop-ups in different locations across North America in order to find our best fit!

We have some exciting new partnerships and pop-ups planned for this upcoming summer so definitely stay tuned!
