Reddit users have taken to the platform in this thread to discuss the teaser trailer for Moana 2, which is the sequel to the popular Disney animated film, Moana. The trailer premiered just hours ago in which it is currently #4 on trending on the platform.

“This movie didn’t need a sequel, but sometimes (Toy story is the best example here) that doesn’t stop something from being good. Hopefully this is more “we have an interesting story to tell” and not “man we need a box office hit” from the mouse.”

There seem to be mixed feelings about the latest trailer drop as some users are excited for another Moana adventure while others think that it won’t live up to the hype of the original.

The latest teaser trailer for Moana 2 has dropped on YouTube under the Walt Disney Animation Studios Channel here.
The trailer sees the original characters reunite three years later to embark on a new voyage, seemingly to answer a call from her ancestors.
Moana 2 Cast
The cast of Moana 2 will see Auli’i Cravalho return as the voice of Moana while Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will also return to reprise his original role as Maui.
Moana 2 Release Date
As noted in the description of the YouTube video teaser trailer, the film will drop in theatres later this year, on November 27, 2024. Here is the official description of the film:
