MTV has just released the nominees for this year’s VMAs, with Taylor Swift and Post Malone wracking in the nominations.

August 6, 2024- The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards have just announced the list of nominees in varying categories, with Taylor Swift as the leading contender.

Swift, who already has 23 VMAs, has snagged 10 nominations for this year’s award show.

American rapper Post Malone is just behind Swift, as he has been nominated for nine nominations, primarily for his collaboration with Swift on the hit song “Fortnight.”

Artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Eminem, Ariana Grande, SZA, and Megan Thee Stallion have also secured several nods for the VMAs.

Other notable mentions include Olivia Rodrigo, Teddy Swims, Dua Lipa, and Benson Boone.

VMAs 2024 Location

The VMAs are to be hosted live from the UBS Arena in Elmont, NY, at 8 p.m. on September 10th.

According to Variety, this will be the first time the show is held at this New York venue after spending the last two years at New Jersey’s Prudential Center.

MTV fans can now vote for their favourite artists in 15 categories, including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, and Best Collaboration.
