Grammy nominations include three new categories.
The Recording Academy has revealed the nominations for the 66th Grammy Awards 2024. The nominations were announced via live stream on YouTube and the Grammy website.
The ceremony will take place on February 4, 2024, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be broadcast on CBS and Paramount+.
The nominations are in 94 categories and 11 fields.
Field 1: Pop & Dance/Electronic Music
Field 2: Rock, Metal & Alternative Music
Field 3: R&B, Rap & Spoken Word Poetry
Field 4: Jazz, Traditional Pop, Contemporary Instrumental & Musical Theater
Field 5: Country & American Roots Music
Field 6: Gospel & Contemporary Christian Music
Field 7: Latin, Global, Reggae & New Age, Ambient, or Chant
Field 8: Children’s, Comedy, Audio Books, Visual Media & Music Video/Film
Field 9: Package, Notes & Historical
Field 10: Production, Engineering, Composition & Arrangement
Field 11: Classical
The three new categories that were added to the nominations are Best Alternative Jazz Album, Best Pop Dance Recording, and Best African Music Performance. SZA leads the nine nominations. Followed by Phoebe Bridgers, Serban Ghenea, and Victoria Monét with seven nominations. Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Boygenius, Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste, Miley Cyrus, and Brandy Clark have six nominations each.
