We’re exploring the goodness of PATRÓN Tequila after visiting their Hacienda production and retreat facility based in Jalisco, Mexico.
Learning a range of recipes transitions easily into conversations about our top cocktails we’ve tried over the years.

Canadian PATRÓN ambassador Marty Pineault let us in on which special cocktail bars in major Canadian cities are using PATRÓN to the fullest.
Experiencing what fine tequila tastes like when paired with top ingredients and a creative concoction will change your approach to cocktail ordering.
Naturally, we’re sharing the list with you:
Vancouver
H-Tasting Lounge
1601 Bayshore Drive, Vancouver, BC
Cocktail: Coyote Coyote
A delectable highball made with PATRÓN Reposado, Sotol, Ancho Reyes, Hoja Santa, red cedar root beer, tobacco, and cacao is called Coyote Coyote. The bar manager at the Westin Bayshore’s H-Tasting lounge, Taylor Kare, devised this sumptuous effervescent drink. It’s carbonated, house-bottled, and perhaps the greatest Batanga variation I’ve tasted to date.
Laowai
251 E Georgia St, Vancouver, BC
Cocktail: V for Victory
V-for Victory is made with Ozymantheus plum, calamansi, Cocchi Americano, and PATRÓN Reposado. Ben Buers of Laowai created a playful twist on the Margarita template. It is floral, with overtones of rich, ripe plums and light aromatized wine notes that blend perfectly with PATRÓN Reposado. Do not pass up this wonderful cocktail if you are in Vancouver’s Chinatown.
Montreal
Bazart
969 Wellington Street Montréal, QC
Cocktail: El Cielito
Elegant. Bold. Sublime. A high-flying twist on a winter sipper, El Cielito brings together the bright clarity of PATRÓN El Cielo with lush cherry and floral violet cream. A kiss of jalapeño-cinnamon syrup brings slow-building warmth, balanced by a drop of coriander oil for a crisp, herbaceous lift.
Mikado
399 Laurier Ouest, Outremount, QC
Cocktail: Margarita Cristalino
A tropical twist on the classic, think Margarita meets Piña Colada—bright, silky, and subtle sweet notes.
Toronto
Charlemagne
100 Portland Street Toronto, ON
Cocktail: Foreign Correspondent
In the spirit of a tiki cocktail with a global twist, the Foreign Correspondent combines the soul of agave with unexpected ingredients from across continents. PATRÓN Silver forms the base for fermented rice cream, Italian amaro, white mint, vanilla husk, fresh lime, and mole bitters. Creamy, herbaceous, and citrus-bright, with a spiced, aromatic finish.
Jacobs & co
Cocktail: Burnt Paloma
81 Bay St., 4th floor Toronto, ON
A fun, smoky spin on a classic Paloma. PATRÓN Reposado tequila gets a boost from a bit of spice, citrus, and a touch of oak-smoked salt. It’s bright, slightly savory, and super refreshing — with just the right amount of kick.
Marty Pineault #1 PATRÓN Cocktail in Canada IMO
Bar Pompette
607 College St, Toronto, ON
Cocktail: It’s Pink
PATRÓN Reposado, Forced rhubarb, gentian, St- Germain, vermouth Bianco, Earl gray mist. White Negroni riff – spring forward with the rhubarb and the elderflower to bring fresh, Tangy, and floral notes.
Quetzal
Cocktail: Carajillo
419 College St, Toronto, ON
Carajillo is a bold and elegant cocktail that combines PATRÓN reposado, coffee, and liqueur, traditionally served as a digestif. Rich, smooth, and slightly sweet — with warm notes of vanilla, citrus, and coffee. It’s energizing yet indulgent.
