Renowned beauty brand, Natasha Denona, has officially returned to the Canadian market, partnering exclusively with Sephora Canada. We chatted with the founder herself to get the latest details.

Natasha Denona is giving fans what they want, as the brand marks its latest return to Sephora Canada.
Known for its iconic collection of premium makeup—particularly its richly pigmented, blendable eyeshadows—this relaunch marks a significant milestone and a meaningful full-circle moment.
In conversation, Denona shares how she transformed her creative vision into industry-defining beauty products. After beginning her career in front of the camera, she transitioned behind the scenes in the mid-’90s, establishing herself as a professional makeup artist at a pivotal moment in the industry. “This was exactly the time when makeup was shifting—from the height of baking to a growing desire for radiant, glowing skin,” she recalls.
Tapping into her experience in fashion—and recognizing a gap in the market for makeup that delivered both radiance and longevity—Denona took matters into her own hands, stepping into the lab to rethink formulation from scratch. “What I wanted simply didn’t exist in the market at the time,” says Denona, who was raised by a chemist mother. “So I set out to develop new formulas from the ground up. I was driven to create products that balanced radiance with long wear—highly pigmented, full-coverage formulas that still looked and felt like skin. It was a challenge, but one I was drawn to.”

Launched in 2016, Natasha Denona has since established itself as a true innovator in the beauty space. Nearly a decade later, Denona says the brand’s evolution remains firmly rooted in its eyeshadow heritage, with continued demand driving innovation. “I read all of the comments and am always listening when it comes to innovation,” she says. “Complexion is a major focus for us right now—our concealer and foundation are true hero products alongside our eyeshadows—and we’re looking to expand further in that category while maintaining our signature hybrid technology.”
With the brand’s return to Sephora Canada, Denona is looking ahead to its next chapter. “We always stay true to who we are and our DNA,” she says. “It’s especially important to communicate that now that we’re back in the Canadian market.” While the brand isn’t driven by fleeting trends, Denona remains focused on meeting the evolving needs of her audience. “We’re always listening—to our community and to what they want,” she explains. “Of course, we’re paying close attention to our Canadian customers and doing everything we can to meet their beauty needs.”

Before we left, we had to get Denona’s top tips for flawless, wedding-day-ready makeup—especially with event season in full swing. “Don’t overload on skincare layering beforehand,” Denona advises. “Stick to your regular routine.” She also emphasizes the importance of staying hydrated, keeping stress levels in check, and using a great primer (AKA the brand’s HY-GEN – Energizing & Hydrating Primer Serum) to create the perfect base.
