In the glittering world of Bollywood, stories of camaraderie and mutual respect between its stars often captivate the audience as much as their on-screen performances.

One such heartwarming tale is that of Salman Khan, one of Bollywood’s biggest superstars, waiting for four hours just to watch the legendary Dharmendra dance during the shooting of the iconic song in the movie Om Shanti Om.

Actor Salman Khan once apparently waited on a film set for four hours just to watch Dharmendra dance.

According to film director and choreographer Farah Khan, as noted here, Salman was so eager to witness the veteran star’s performance in the ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ song from Om Shanti Om—a sequence that features numerous legends of Hindi cinema—that he waited voluntarily and even jumped into the shot.

She claimed- reportedly in an interview with IFTDA- that there is a shot where Dharam ji is dancing, and Salman and others jump in- that wasn’t planned. They were reportedly standing behind the camera because they waited for four hours in Shah Rukh’s van to watch Dharam ji’s shot. And while Dharam ji was dancing, they just jumped into the shot.

When Dharmendra finally took the stage, the wait proved worthwhile. His graceful moves and magnetic presence lit up the set, drawing admiration from everyone present. For Salman, it was a moment of sheer joy and respect. Watching one of his idols perform live was a profound experience, underlining the deep-seated respect he holds for the legends of the industry.

Om Shanti Om emerged as the biggest film of 2007, grossing over Rs 150 crore worldwide. The film also starred Deepika Padukone, Kirron Kher, Arjun Rampal, and Bindu, among others.
