Stormy Daniels took to the stand to testify in the viral Trump Trial.

Donald Trump, who is currently in the running to become the next President of the United States, has been accused of making a hush money payment to Stormy Daniels, who is an adult film star, in order to cover an affair (noted here).

Trump was the 45th president of the US, in which his term lasted from January 20, 2017- January 20, 2021. He is currently running again- and he is in the lead.

Stormy Daniels Hush Money

During the testimony, Daniels discussed the sexual encounter she had with Trump back in 2006. Daniels was reportedly paid $130,000 in a “deal for her silence” which occurred just before Trump was elected president in 2017 (here).

This agreement was reportedly a non-disclosure agreement, as mentioned here in the latest updates from the testimony.

Hush Money meaning

Hush money is a money payment made to someone in order to “prevent them from disclosing embarrassing or discreditable information.

Trump Latest

As mentioned here, Trump is accused of “falsifying business records” that have been related “to hush-money payments ahead of the 2016 elections” which is how Daniels is related to this ongoing case. As this article also claims, Trump is facing 34 felony charges. He has been accused of engaging in a conspiracy to “undermine the integrity” of the previous 2016 election.

Trump Mistrial

In the latest updates from the trial, the judge has denied Trump’s attorney’s motion for a mistrial (noted here).
