Scotiabank Arena, the venue where Aiko was set to perform, tweeted the news on X as shown below:

The tweet cited “unexpected production issues” as the reason for the cancellation and postponement of the event, in which others online allegedly claimed it was supposedly because Aiko’s production crew got stuck at the border.

Aiko also took to Instagram to detail the latest news, addressing fans:

In the post, claims of production issues playing a part in the last-minute cancellation and postponement were restated. Aiko also apologized to the fans claiming she is “so sorry.”

Fans were saddened by the news, taking to social media to express their disappointment in the last-minute cancellation.

At this time, a new date for the concert has not yet been revealed following the cancellation.

SZA also canceled her concert in Toronto last minute back in October of 2023. The cancellation happened just minutes before the doors were set to open at the venue. Many have deemed this the alleged Toronto curse, concerning concert events in the city.

Although we don’t know the exact reasons why the concert was canceled or postponed, what are your thoughts?
