Princess Kate Abdominal Surgery
As noted in the statement, Kate seemingly went forward with a “planned abdominal surgery” at The London Clinic recently, in which it was revealed that the surgery was successful.
“The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery,” reads the official statement (also noted here).
The statement also issued an apology seemingly on behalf of Kate due to the fact that she had to postpone recent engagements as a result of this medical procedure.
As well, the statement claimed that she would likely not return to public duties until after Easter following current medical advice.
“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private. Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share” (also noted here).
As a result, it is likely that there will not be any additional updates on the situation unless there is significant news to share, as the statement reads.
