The Princess of Wales looks gorgeous in a stylish outfit she wears to the 2023 British Academy Film and Television Awards. Her appearance alongside Prince William was highly anticipated as the royal couple had missed the event in recent years.
Kate Middleton’s Beautiful Gown
Middleton was seen arriving at the BAFTA on February 19th wearing an elegant one-shouldered white dress with an asymmetrical neckline and a loose-flowing skirt. Her ethereal dress, designed by Alexander McQueen, pairs very nicely with her natural makeup and slightly smokey eyes. The regal dress is reportedly the same one she wore to the 2019 BAFTA. She also has a pair of black velvet opera gloves that match her husband’s double-breasted jacket. On top of everything, Kate Middleton also wears a pair of chic rhinestone-studded floral rose-gold earrings from Zara.

The Royal Couple’s First BAFTA Attendance in Years
Despite the fact that Prince William has been the president of the BAFTA organization since 2010, the Princess and Prince of Wales’ last BAFTA appearance was all the way back in 2020. Their absence in 2021 was due to Prince William wanting to respect his grandfather Prince Philip, who passed away at the age of 99 in April of that year. Meanwhile, their absence at last year’s BAFTA was supposedly due to a scheduling conflict, but Prince William still managed to broadcast a pre-recorded message to show his support for the 2022 BAFTA, hoping that the BAFTA “will inspire future generations from all walks of life to become future filmmakers.”
Aside from the 2023 BAFTA being the royal couple’s awaited return to the red carpet, it is also special for having a change of venue. Since 2017, the ceremony has always been held at the Royal Albert Hall. Prior to 2017, the chosen venue was the Royal Opera House. This year, the venue moved to the Royal Festival Hall in London. The royal couple being in attendance is also their way to pay homage to Prince William’s late grandmother. The English actress Helen Mirren is confirmed to lead a tribute to Queen Elizabeth of Windsor.
