Emma D’arcy and Olivia Cooke return as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower, who are at war with one another following the events in season one.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the second season as the first aired nearly two years ago.

“House of the Dragon” first aired in 2022 as a prequel to the HBO series “Game of Thrones,” which has been dubbed one of the most popular TV shows of all time.

Although both series have been praised worldwide, some don’t agree with showrunner Ryan Condal’s decision to include scenes containing graphic gore and incestual relationships.

“House of the Dragon” is based on George R.R. Martin’s fantasy book “Fire & Blood,” which is set nearly 200 years before the events in “Game of Thrones.”

The story follows the reign of House Targaryen and the war between the children of King Viserys I Targaryen for control of the Iron Throne.

The star-studded supporting cast includes Matt Smith as the ruthless Daemon Targaryen, Eve Best as Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, and Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole.

The slogan for season two’s premiere, “All Must Choose,” has been blasted all over social media.

Fans are asked to choose between #TeamGreen or #TeamBlack, each colour representing House Hightower or House Targaryen.

The series premiere of “House of the Dragon” was watched by over 10 million viewers on the first day, the largest viewership in HBO history.

The first season starred Milly Alcock and Emily Carey as younger versions of D’arcy and Cooke’s characters.

The new season of “House of the Dragon” airs Sundays on HBO and Max.
