New Twitter CEO 2023

NBCUniversal’s former sales chief, Linda Yaccarino, has been announced to be the new CEO of Twitter. Elon Musk made the announcement via a Twitter post, on May 12.

Who is the new CEO of Twitter after Elon Musk?

According to Elon’s tweet, Linda Yaccarino will be in charge of the business operations, while Musk will focus on other tasks within the company.

Elon Musk confirmed he had found a new CEO earlier this month, but at that time he did not disclose the person’s identity.

Linda Yaccarino worked as sales chief at NBCUniversal before leaving for Twitter, Deadline notes.

“We are grateful for Linda Yaccarino’s leadership of NBCUniversal’s advertising sales business, and for the innovative team and platform she has built.” Mike Cavanaugh, Comcast President, said about Linda’s role within the company.

“In all seriousness, Linda and I worked together for many, many years here at NBC. We want to thank her and wish her well. We’ve had some changes around here but the strength, expertise and spirit of this company remain not only intact, but stronger than ever.” Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBCUniversal, said, as noted here.

Prior to Yaccarino’s new role as CEO, Business Insider’s Claire Atkinson claimed Linda would be a good fit for Twitter, BBC writes. “If Twitter are looking to monetise better than they have been, then that would be the place to start and Linda would be the ideal person to make that happen. She’s the kind of person that I can imagine Elon Musk needs,” Atkinson said.
