As the article explains, there was a rumor going around online that the Chinese social media star passed away, causing others to take to their platforms to react to the viral allegations and rumors. Although the death rumors have not been completely verified, there is no proof to indicate that the TikToker has actually died.

Xiao Xiao is 36 years old and rose to fame on the platform Doujin which- as the article details- is referred to as the Chinese version of TikTok. Xiao Xiao has microcephaly, which is a condition where one’s head is smaller than expected. As this other article explains, Xiao Xiao has since posted on Instagram amid death rumors so there is no official verification that she has actually passed.
Worries about the well-being of Xiao Xiao have long been debated after it was alleged that her caretakers seemingly provoked her to get a reaction for content.
Rumors of Xiao Xiao dying occurred after her accounts were allegedly suspended following allegations of parental abuse as noted here. Again, these alleged reports of Xiao Xiao having died have not been confirmed.
