Inspired by the rapper’s hometown, the latest Cardi B x Reebok’s collection “Let Me Be…In My World” is out now.

After Cardi B released her successful ‘90s inspired “Summertime Fine Collection” with Reebok, the rapper released her second collection with the brand last Friday. In a statement, Cardi expressed her excitement in this new collection inspired by her love and time spent in New York City. Her latest capsule collection featured pieces that she loves to wear. It consisted of athleisure apparel pieces like tracksuits, bodysuits, rib-knit skirts, and hoodies.
Possibly the most interesting piece in the collection, the corset hoodie is Cardi’s unique take on the well-loved classic apparel. The two-tone hoodie has a built-in corset that fully zips up to a stand-up collar and it comes in red and green colourways.
Another piece with corsetry detailing, Cardi’s long-sleeve bodysuit is also made with a built-in corset with a detachable collar. This double-knit top pairs well with Cardi’s rib-knit skirt.

Cardi B also released Cardi B Classic Leather Sneaker. The shoe has heavily referenced retro Reebok styles from the ‘70s and ’80s but is kept fresh by using vibrant saturated colours like red, dusty rose, pink, green, and white. The shoes are “pure Cardi” with every detail focused on the Grammy award-winning rapper’s personality. The transparent soles symbolize her down-to-earth attitude and the asymmetrical detailing is a “nod to her different hustles.” The Cardi B Classic Leather Sneaker is available in both women’s and kid’s sizes.
The creative decision to offer the sneakers in both women’s and kid’s sizes was a no-brainer since the rapper and the sneaker giant released a “Mommy and Me” footwear collection last May. The said collection featured Club C Cardi sneakers in two monochromatic colourways and it was influenced by Cardi B’s special moments with her daughter, Kulture.

On the launch day, Cardi B took to Twitter that her red tracksuit outfit (as seen on the collection’s promotional photos) was inspired by her Met Gala 2019 look which was designed by Thom Browne. In another tweet, she–momma BARDI– also claimed that the collection is made with every body shape in mind. This body inclusive collection has sizes ranging from 2XS to 4X.
