How “Break My Soul” Became Noah’s Life Soundtrack

Beyoncé’s hit track Break My Soulwhich is nominated for Album of the Year, has a line in the lyrics that goes “I just quit my job/I’m gonna find a new drive”. The song references the need to “leave yer work” and “release the worry”, as well as the call to go look “for something that lives inside me”.

Trevor Noah has acknowledged, as noted by this article, that hosting The Daily Show was “incredibly enjoyable”, but he is also enjoying his newfound freedom and is “genuinely living [his] best life” by not having to stress out so much. Is Beyoncé His Favorite Female Performer?

Trevor Noah teased during his interview for the PEOPLE Everyday Podcast that “one of your favorite performers is a woman, and that woman is going to be performing at the Grammys”, leading fans everywhere to speculate that Beyoncé is the performer he meant. Trevor Noah’s statement comes just in time as Beyoncé has been in the spotlight multiple times this year already, especially after announcing her upcoming world tour. Beyoncé has won several Grammy Awards previously, with her 2021 win in the Best R&B Performance category being one of her most memorable moments in the industry to date.
