Destiny’s Child Survivor
October 3, 2024– According to this TikTok video posted by user @nobrakesgolive, there is a conspiracy theory floating around online alleging that Destiny’s Child’s song, Survivor, is allegedly about Aaliyah, even though it was released a couple of months before her passing.

Destiny’s Child Survivor Lyrics
The video showcases the Destiny’s Child members- Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams- surviving a plane crash. Months later, singer Aaliyah died in a plane crash, so some fans believe there is a weird correlation between the video and real life. This alleged claim follows allegations that Beyonce has allegedly been dragged into Aaliyah’s passing following multiple online conspiracies. However, nothing has been confirmed.
The TikToker goes into depth about the lyrics of the song, Survivor, such as the below claiming that after this so-called person was “out of their life” they became “so much better.”
Now that you’re out of my life, I’m so much better
You thought that I’d be weak without you, but I’m stronger You thought that I’d be broke without you, but I’m richer You thought that I’d be sad without you, I laugh harder You thought I wouldn’t grow without you, now I’m wiser Thought that I’d be helpless without you, but I’m smarter You thought that I’d be stressed without you, but I’m chillin’ You thought I wouldn’t sell without you, sold nine millionFans now allege that these lyrics are supposedly referring to Aaliyah, as she was allegedly Beyonce’s competition at the time.
Again- nothing has been confirmed in regard to the above-alleged claims, this is all rumors and speculation with no concrete evidence to back it up. People in the comment section are also not convinced regarding this theory as the song came out before Aaliyah’s death following the plane crash she was in.
What do you think about the alleged claims? Most of these conspiracies began making rounds online following Diddy’s recent arrest back in September.
