According to CTV News, the topless protestor was protesting “Ontario’s development of the Greenbelt”. Two messages that were written on the woman’s body said “Save the Green Belt” and “Land Back”.

According to the same E! News article, after bearing the situation for a couple of moments, the singer, 38, told the protestor to “Get the f–k off.” Shortly after the event, the show host addressed the incident and congratulated Avril Lavigne for “handling that topless lady like a champion.” as mentioned here.
