Dennis Rodman has accused Travis Scott of stealing the style of his signature sneakers, calling into question the famous rapper’s ability to create new fashion trends, TMZ just reported.

In a video shot at Chicago’s Got Sole sneaker expo, NBA legend Dennis Rodman tells Travis Scott, “This ain’t new, brother.” The Hall of Famer requested credit from the rapper for the artwork that inspired the rapper’s partnership with Nike.

Rodman claimed Travis Scott stole his shoe design while holding a pair of Air Jordan 1 High OG TS SPs in a room full of sneakerheads at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.

The legendary former Bulls and Pistons player stated, “I was the first guy to do mine backward,” pointing to the iconic swoosh on the sneaker. The comments were made in regard to the 1994 Air Darwins, the first pair of Nike shoes to have the swoosh positioned backward.

“I was playing with the Chicago Bulls at the time. Come on, Travis, give me some credit. You know? You copied my sh*t. This is my sh*t”, the former NBA player said into the camera. “This ain’t new, brother,” he said sarcastically before congratulating the rapper.

Dennis Rodman was one of two celebrity guests at Got Sole on March 11th, along with Chicago rapper Famous Dex. In addition to signing sneakers for dozens of admirers, the Bulls icon posed for selfies.

One of the models from Travis Scott’s partnership with Nike is the 1 High OG TS Mocha, which Rodman pointed out. On online merchants, the range price for the shoes is from $1,500 to $3,000. Although Nike initially set the selling price of the shoe at $175, it quickly sold out. As is usual, the limited release drove up costs for resellers.
