The brand is speaking out after Budweiser got backlash online for partnering with transgender influencer, Dylan Mulvaney.

The CEO of Anheuser-Busch is breaking the brand’s silence and coming out with a statement after Bud Light’s partnership with Dylan Mulvaney ignited an uproar online.

After the brand’s partnership with Mulvaney hit a sour note, the CEO has finally spoken out about the brand’s latest partnership as mentioned here.

“We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people,” said Brendan Whitworth, CEO,  in a public statement. “We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.”

Mulvaney ignited an uproar online after posting a video announcing a partnership with Bud Light. Within the video, Mulvaney can be seen showing viewers beer cans with images of the influencer’s face printed on them.
